Education

Access to Electronic Information (University-Wide)

For IT and HR employees: A short overview of the Harvard University Access to Electronic Information policy, explaining the processes that govern non-consensual access to user information and examples of how and when this might happen.

Information Security & Data Privacy Awareness Training (Initial)

For all staff: This training is required for staff who are authorized to use confidential information. The training will help you use appropriate practices to manage confidential information and to recognize what to do in case of a breach in its security.

IT Security Foundations: Core Concepts

For IT professionals: Explore how attackers use social engineering, malware, and spyware; review basic wireless and browser security; get an introduction to encryption; learn how to manage cookies; and discover best practices for securing your devices and applications.

Privacy Principles (University-Wide)

For faculty, staff and students: Protecting Privacy at Harvard will provide an introductory look at the newly launched University-Wide Privacy Principles. The course is interactive and scenario based.
